On February 7, 2024, Ambassador Du Xiaohui met with Frank Tayali, Minister of Transport and Logistics of Zambia.

Ambassador Du introduced China's latest considerations on implementing the important consensus reached by the two heads of state.

Tayali said that the TAZARA Railway is a "road of friendship and Uhuru" built during the time of Chairman Mao Zedong, President Kaunda and President Nyerere. The Zambian side thanked China for its significant contribution in the revitalization of the TAZARA Railway and will collaborate to accelerate the process of the revitalization based on the principles of commercialization and marketization.
